Resaro welcomes Stanimir Arnaudov as Chief Technology Officer

Earlier this year, Resaro officially opened its European co-headquarters in Munich, Germany, welcoming Olly Salzmann as Co-Chief Executive Officer (Co-CEO) and Dr. Sebastian Hallensleben as Chief Trust Officer (CTrO). Strengthening its leadership team further, Resaro now announces the appointment of Stanimir Arnaudov as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Stanimir joins Resaro with more than twenty years of experience leading complex software engineering and AI initiatives across defence, automotive, and advanced technology sectors in Europe. In his new role, he will oversee Resaro’s global technology strategy and drive the company’s mission to build the foundational platform for AI assurance and testing.

Originally from Bulgaria, Stanimir holds a Master’s Degree in Nautical Engineering at the country’s oldest technical university, The Bulgarian Naval Academy. Following his service, he moved to Germany to pursue his Master’s Degree in Computer Science at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), one of Europe’s leading institutions for technology and applied research. His academic focus on efficient algorithms, computer graphics, and augmented reality laid the foundation for a career at the intersection of deep engineering and innovation.

Stanimir went on to hold key technical and leadership roles across startups, research institutes, and multinational corporations. He began his career at Metaio (acquired by Apple) — the seminal augmented reality pioneer — where he architected and parallelised core elements of the AR pipeline and led technical delivery for major enterprise deployments. This built upon his early applied research at Fraunhofer Society and tech startups, where he worked on distributed trust systems — an early exploration of the principles that underpin secure and trustworthy computing today.

He later spent several years in the automotive sector, first as a consultant with Capgemini and then at BMW, where he led teams developing safety-critical software and core state-control systems for BMW’s flagship 7 Series. His leadership extended to the development of next-generation systems for inductive vehicle charging, undertaken in collaboration with Daimler.

Most recently, Stanimir served as Vice President of Software Engineering & AI at Rheinmetall, Germany’s largest defence technology company. Over his tenure, he built and managed a department of more than 100 engineers, delivering software for embedded systems, vehicle frameworks, command-and-control platforms, and AI-enabled solutions. He also led Rheinmetall’s internal digital transformation efforts, establishing a dedicated department focused on AI integration and modern software practices across the organisation.

Reflecting on his decision to join Resaro, Stanimir shared:

“The more I learned about Resaro, the more it felt like a natural next step. Exceptional people, a focused mission, and a vision that’s actually executable. I’m excited to help build AI technology that’s genuinely worthy of trust.”

Commenting on the appointment, Olly, Co-CEO of Resaro, said:

“Stanimir brings a rare combination of technical depth, strategic foresight, and hands-on leadership experience from some of the most demanding engineering environments in Europe. His expertise will be instrumental to scale our platform and to expand Resaro’s AI assurance capabilities globally.”

April Chin, Co-CEO of Resaro, added:

“We are delighted to welcome Stanimir to our Resaro team. His depth of experience in building and leading high-performance engineering teams will help strengthen our testing, evaluation, validation, and verification foundation to enable our customers to adopt AI with confidence.”

As CTO, Stanimir will lead Resaro’s technical vision and lead the development of its AI assurance platform, ensuring it meets the highest standards of safety, performance, and trust.
